St(eye)lish Twins

De zusjes Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen brengen naast hun kledinglabels ''The Row'' en ''Elizabeth And James'' nu ook hun eigen zonnebrillen collectie uit. Een vanzelfsprekende stap in hun fashion carrière, aangezien de meiden dagelijks een zonnebril dragen. De stijlvolle tweeling zal samen met Linda Farrow werken aan vier verschillende stijlen: 1. klassiek met metaal frame, 2.een oversized vierkant frame, 3. een vintage geiinspireerde boog-frame, 4. een paar ronde frames a la jaren '60.

Ashley Olsen: "We tried to find certain pieces that look good on more than one face, to pay close attention to how they fit certain faces and make them wearable at the same time."

De zonnebrillen zullen deel uit maken van hun label ''The Row''.

Mary-Kate Olsen: "Designing eyewear was definitely more complicated than we thought, and of course we wanted to be extremely hands-on. From what I understand, the first year with eyewear is figuring out what the process will be like for us specifically. I think everyone does it differently, whether it’s looking through old materials or archives or working with drawings and measurements."
